ONLINE BYZANTINE DRAWING I will teach you essential iconographic drawing skills focusing on proportion, geometry, Byzantine design principles and technique. This course begins with instruction in iconographic facial features to design a frontal face template that you will learn how to modify to become the Face of Christ, St. John the Baptist, St. George, Our Holy Mother and Christ Emmanuel. Provides important foundational skills for drawing, scaling and adapting icons.
Step by Step Guidance. Students will receive a pdf instructional manual to complement online instruction. Homework will be individually corrected and returned with instructional comments to facilitate competency.
This online class meets via zoom on Tuesday afternoons from 3-4:30pm. While online participation is not required, it is recommended, as instruction is cumulative and this is your opportunity to ask questions during instruction.
