This registration is for Part 2. Admission to this course is by permission only for the level of complication, skills required and successful completion of Session 1.
The San Damiano Cross is a complicated, multifaceted icon on a custom-fabricated icon board from Italy, in the shape of the cross. Fr. Jon Buffington will instruct advanced students in completing the San Damiano Cross in a 2-session program. Each Semester will offer 12 weeks of instruction.
Skills to be acquired in this icon: students will draw the figures in the cross; learn to paint small, full-standing figures, Byzantine anatomy, and complex details.
This class meets on Monday afternoons from 2-4:30pm at our new location on the campus of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
