SACRED LETTERS – ICONOGRAPHIC CALLIGRAPHY is a 6 week mini course that will teach you how to form, paint and spell traditional iconography inscriptions in Greek, Latin, Church Slavonic Cyrllic. You will also learn how to write and paint traditional Russian calligraphy to enhance your icon inscriptions. If you like a decorative flourish in your lettering, try your hand at the highly decorative calligraphy style called Vyaz, which will be introduced in this course. Alice Bolgova, our instructor, is multi-lingual and professionally trained in Russian Calligraphy. She has prepared a comprehensive instruction manual for this course, based on the calligraphy program she studied in Russia.
